Dresses Every Teen Should Have..!

  • A Little Black Dress
A black dress can be dressed up or dressed down and can be worn to most occasions. The dress can be paired with bright coloured heels and accessories to dress it up or it could be paired with a jacket or scarf to be casual and comfy. The actual dress itself can be dressy, comfy or formal even.

Love the cutout at the top, without showing too much. Also love where the dress falls    This would be an awesome homecoming dress if I go stag this year! I just got this great pair of maroon heels that are just a bit furry and quite wonderful...they would be super cute with this!                           Black Color Block Irregular Slim Dress - Mini Dresses $11.87 http://onlinefashionstoreportal.com/ #dresses

Do The Little Things In Life Matter?

I was sitting down for lunch today when one of my friends at the table asked me why I had missed school the previous day. I casually replied saying that I hurt my back and couldn't walk or sit for more than 10 minutes. He quickly yelled and said, "You hurt your back? That isn't even a big deal!"
This sorta got me thinking.. 'What really matters?'... 'Does it change from person to person?'.. 'Isn't health important?'.

I guess the title isn't corresponding with the example above 'cause hurting your back is quite a big deal and the post is titled 'Little Things'. (Yes I love One Direction :P). Actually there is a lot that people don't understand about their peers, colleagues, mentors and people in general. There may be a lot of past experiences that educate their responses to certain situations but it could also be an act of impulse. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me." true? I don't think so. Words can cut deeper than knives (Yes I love Shawn Mendes too <3). When I hear phrases like "Oh! It's no big deal", "Let it go" and mostly "Don't take it to heart", I think to myself "WHY NOT?" I can do whatever I please because it is my life and no one has the right to be rude to me.

Little things? A cut, a fall, a reply, criticism, an impulsive reply even, these are not little things. They matter. Consider this, Life.. Well, life is like the process of baking a cake. The flour, sugar and butter are the main parts or 'Big Things' but without baking powder, salt and sprinkles the cake would taste very very bad. I guess the point is that the little things do matter and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Just a pointer.. I didn't feel bad about what my friend said and this is not some kind of response to it. This post is just an overflow of thoughts and trust me I think of stuff weirder than this. Maybe I'll dedicate an entire post to that next time... xP

Till then,
Rachel

Wanna Master The Fishtail Braid?

The fishtail braid is the 'Hot New Look' right now. Everyone has been sporting it, from celebrities to your neighbour. You can learn it too. Just follow these few steps.

HOW TO MASTER THE FISHTAIL BRAID Still haven't learned how to fishtail braid? This simple fishtail braid tutorial will make you an expert -- instantly
  • Step 1: Divide your hair into 2 sections.
  • Step 2: Take a section of hair from one side and cross it over to the other side. This can seem hard at first but after a couple of tries you'll get the hang of it.
  • Step 3: Repeat step 2 on the other side.
  • Step 4: Continue to repeat step 2 by alternating sides.
  • Step 5: After you're happy with the length of the braid you can tie it off with a hair elastic, rubber band or even a bow.
Note: The size of the sections that are crossed over can vary depending on how defined you want the braid to be. Also, before tying the braid you can pull the sections apart to make the braid look more messy and voluminous.
